My IOU came due this past weekend.

Back in February, instead of falling in love, I fell and was down for the count on Valentine’s weekend.

March provided a lovely getaway.

We headed up the coast to Santa Barbara and a favorite destination, The Ritz-Carlton Bacara.

The weather is brisk for Southern California, but do not despair, it is still sunny and bright.

We chilled by the pool which always provides an amazing ocean view.

A late afternoon beach walk set us up for cocktail hour on our water view patio and then a luscious dinner.

These days we are fortunate to be able to take a break from the grim realities of life.

So glad I fell for the best guy💜
