Every Breath I Take…

Nobody puts baby in the corner.

Life is about enabling anyone to be their best self.

Fly, indulge your curiosity.

Friday, I decided to break free from traffic constraints and brave the 20 mile drive to downtown Los Angeles

I have been dying to try a certain new restaurant. I was tired of hearing myself talk about it.

Dinner reservations are impossible to secure.

Lunch is fair game, no frills. You go to the window, order and they bring it to your table.

The wait was only 15 minutes.

The decor and food are fabulous.

Perched in the corner, I recognized the owner from the outstanding Chef’s Table feature.

The publicist in me surfaced and I approached armed with compliments and class.

We ended up talking for a long time and actually have a lot of mutual friends.

I left elated and with a free pass for a reservation. I love meeting smart, motivated, interesting, accomplished people.

Unexpected moments are so stimulating and never overrated.

The barrage of stop and go traffic did not affect my euphoric state.

And, yes, a great restaurant, fancy or simple, can be a truly satisfying experience.

I am not a sit at home kinda gal. I am not underestimating stopping to smell the roses and enjoying your home, reading, cooking, cleaning closets, watching the asinine Agent Orange make a mockery of himself while denigrating democracy on MSNBC.

Just like my iPhone I need to roam free.

Anyway, bring it on and I am giving myself a wide berth to be curious until I stop breathing!
