Doting On My Daughter…

My daughter heads back to New York today.

We have spent over two weeks together in Mexico and Los Angeles.

I admire her greatly for her inner beauty (the outside ain’t so bad), her strong work ethic and professional success, her ability to handle any situation, her sense of style, common sense and high standards and her technology acumen which is a lifesaver for me.

Oh, cannot forget to thank her for sleeping through the night since the day she was born.

In my eyes she is perfect 99% of the time.

I cannot believe that we have not had one cross word, confrontation or go to your room (that pertains to both of us) moment.

I am going to take partial credit for fantastic parenting.

Courtny gets credit for maturity and inheriting her father’s even keel personality.

I freely admit that my mother can drive me crazy, but to date my daughter has not registered any major complains against me beyond the fact that I am anal about keeping the house neat and clean and worrying too much.

I love spending time with her and hope that the relationship never falters.

Thanks for being you…best friends forever.
