Best breakfast and brunch in the Palm Beaches, an ocean view and reasonable pricing.

Delray Beach’s, Luna Rosa, is an AM must.

We spend many a morning indulging in tasty breakfast fare at Luna Rosa whenever we visit Florida.

If we hit Delray for the day, David runs across the street from the beach and picks up a delectable lunch to indulge in on the sandy shore.

We always select the char-grilled Atlantic fresh salmon over baby greens, with Applewood smoked bacon, gorgonzola cheese, fresh grapes, toasted walnuts and citrus vinaigrette ($17.95 and big enough to share).

He grabs a foamy cappuccino highlighted by a delicate, delish biscotti ($3.75)…beautiful beach, perfect weather and a fabulous salad…who could ask for anthing more.

Yesterday, we took my mom to Luna Rosa for breakfast…her first outing since being discharged from the hospital.

We sat outside with a great view of the ocean and the newly renovated Delray Beach Pavilion.

The Egg Brunch

I ordered the egg brunch breakfast (4.75) with consists of 2 extra large farm fresh eggs done any way you want, skillet potatoes, toast and your choice of oatmeal, tomatoes or hominy grits.

My mom dove into the light and airy pancakes ($5.25). Hospital food leaves you longing for something with taste. She loved her selection accompanied by delightful maple syrup and crispy bacon.

Other menu highlights include a breakfast pizza ($14), fresh Scottish smoked salmon platter($14.50) and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and onions ($9.95).

The service is efficient and friendly, the coffee strong and an endless stream ($2.95). The latest addition is gratis pours of sparkling water.

We sat next to an adorable couple who are headed to NYC the day after Christmas…we gave them a tutorial on all the highlights and an intro to ifthedevilhadmenopause.com.

Unfortunately, the large table of New Yorkers behind us had their four year-old performing like a trained monkey for the grandparents…poor Zach does not have a chance in life with those helicopter parents. Relax, eat and leave the poor kid alone.

Luna Rosa is a must when in the Delray, Boynton Beach, Boca Raton ‘hood.

Good, simple food and a breezy, easy atmosphere.
