For a good time go see, Death Becomes Her.
It is such a fun Broadway musical.
Many aspire. Few succeed.
The scenery is lush, the costumes stunning, the dancing impressive and the lead actors have voices that far exceed the typical Broadway voice range.
I went with my daughter and we both smiled, laughed and clapped our way through a rapid two and a half hours of frivolity.
Recently, I find myself constantly glancing at my watch as many of the new Broadway shows have been mediocre at best.
The musical is campy with a glamorous aesthetic, possessing sharp comedic writing and strong performances from stars Megan Hilty and Jennifer Simard.
Death Becomes Her is vastly entertaining, essentially capturing the spirit of the original film in a theatrical way.
The only weak link is a stiff, emotionally devoid Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child fame.
For a good time and money well spent go see the Broadway musical, Death Becomes Her.
