Today I am stopping my downward spiral in a completely frivolous manner.
And, I am giddy with anticipation.
I am in desperate need of a momentary break from politics, the Orange ‘roided Hitler and the overall State of the Union.
Other then an obligatory doctor’s appointment I rarely leave the house and get into a car during the week.
I hike close to home, spin in house, pilates via Zoom.
Today I have a lunch date with my husband.
He seldom has a break during the day.
At 1:30PT we will depart, cruising up the coast for lunch at Malibu Seafood.
We are anticipating the scrumptious Fish and Chips, Cole Slaw and fresh Steamers.
We will most likely eat al fresco in the car unless only a handful of people are eating at the socially distanced picnic tables overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
The temperature is supposed to drop from the scorching 90’s to the mid-70s so another small issue to rejoice in.
I am excited to have an away date with my husband and to experience a weekday distraction with a human I enjoy and not need to physically distance from.
Living in Coronaville sure makes you appreciate the little things in life.
