I love Sunday brunch in New York City.
We have a standing Sunday morning appointment with the doggie self serve salon so brunch is usually downtown.
Recently, we hit up Roey’s, the 3 week-old restaurant from the owners of Rosemary’s and Claudette.
Roey’s, formerly Rosemary’s Pizza, is an adorable place on the corner of Greenwich and Perry Street.
The sun-filled, 50-seat dining room spills onto the sidewalk on Greenwich Avenue.
We snagged one of the limited outside tables on a beautiful Sunday morning.
A coffee bar and takeaway counter has been added with a separate entrance on Perry Street.
The Italian influenced menu is enticing and the food is delicious at the all day cafe.
David jumped all over the Cacio E Pepe Egg Sandwich. The delicious brioche bun was lightly toasted and the heaping egg sandwich with smoked salmon was rich and satisfying ($13).
I selected the delectable Scrambled Eggs Caprese with tomato pesto, basil, arugula with chunky, fabulous mozzarella cheese ($14).
We shared Roasted Rosemary Potatoes serve in a cast iron skillet. They were piping hot and crispy ($8).
The dog washer (aka Courtny) ordered Smoked Salmon Toast on gluten free bread with lemon mascarpone capers. It was divine and plentiful ($14).
We all ordered the Cold Brew which was bitter and overpriced for the size of the serving ($5).
Roey’s offers all day dining from the Italian inspired menu which features vegetables, lovely cheeses, salads, sandwiches, pizza, pastries and a full bar.
Roey’s is a great choice morning, noon or night.
