Brunch At Felice…NYC Restaurant Review

Cheers to a new, viable Upper West Side dining establishment.

The SA Hospitality group of restaurants which includes Sant Ambroeus, Casa Lever and 7 NYC Felice establishments, recently opened a new Felice on Columbus Avenue and 71st Street.

The surroundings are inviting, including the preexisting impressive 20-seat bar which takes up most of the airy, windowed 65-seat dining room along with outside dining.

We went for Sunday brunch and Felice offers an expansive menu.

Pasta sounded good, but I was not in the mood so I opted for a burger which was a bit over cooked, but tasty all the same.

I did not have the time to send it back because I had a football game to watch.

The accompanying fries were crispy and delicious.

The hamburger consisted of a tantalizing short-rib blend, taleggio cheese, bacon, red onion confit, pickle and tomato ($23).

My daughter selected the Zuppa Contadina with farm vegetables, chickpeas, white beans, kale and Felice extra virgin olive oil ($15).

The soup was rich, bountiful and fabulous.

My husband ordered the Bagel con Salmone on a Orwashers multigrain bagel with Norwegian smoked salmon, chives cream cheese, bibb lettuce, fried capers and red onion confit ($19).

Brunch was satisfying and the service accommodating.

We recently made it back for drinks at the bar and ordered the outrageously delectable Crostone Ricotta with fresh ricotta, Italian linden spicy honey, figs and sliced almonds ($16).

Check out Felice for genuine rustic Tuscan cuisine.
