Props for Brittany.
What a cool, aesthetically pleasing, delectable region.
After leaving Mont Saint-Michel which borders Brittany we headed for oysters and the place to experience divine oysters is Cancale as nothing says seafood like this picturesque fishing village.
We had an amazing lunch with a water view at Restaurant Surcouf.
The oysters were incredible as was the 3 course lunch.
Satiated, we walked to the end of the pier and had our last glimpse of Mont Saint-Michel across the bay past the oyster beds.
Our next stop was the upscale, elegant Dinard which hugs the Brittany coast.
Moving on to Dinan which was a visual treat.
Darkness was descending so we headed to our final destination, La Gree Des Landes, a countryside ecolodge with an organic restaurant, a indoor pool & Yves Rocher wellness spa in the absolutely charming village, La Gacilly.
We soaked in the wellness pool and relaxed over a game of checkers which my husband had never played…I beat him badly while sipping a Pastis.
And fade to black.
Tomorrow’s destination our home near Bordeaux.
