It was a day where the house of cards could possibly fold.
I have a new couch that I never liked. I found another one with a great price point so I bought it and ended my couch obsession.
You cannot give away a couch in south Florida.
I called 10 organizations and each one had a issue…no one does stairs, Goodwill now charges $175 pick up fee, Faith Farm, Salvation Army and Habitat for Humanity does not return calls and the Vets stiffed me.
I succumbed to stair pressure and we carried the couch downstairs yesterday and placed on the lawn. In a matter of minutes a fast moving, violent storm hit.
We quickly found a tarp and moved the couch into a doorway.
Finally, the truck arrived and we bid adieu to the couch that wouldn’t leave home.
Within the hour the new couch arrived.
Patrick and Josh were gently coerced into removing the couch from the huge carton, putting the legs on and taking away the packaging.
For a nice tip and a few juicy rock ‘n roll tidbits the deed was done.
Next the contractor arrived for demolition. Unexpectedly, the prior contractor had a glue extravaganza so the job became doubly difficult.
I ducked out for my hair appointment. She was running 90 minutes late.
trump was on in the background whining and if it were possible I would have screamed bloody murder, but it wasn’t my home.
With a wet head I dashed to the gym. The drive was endless because the AC died and it was 90 degrees with a 100% humidity.
I eagerly jumped the Peloton and rode that baby like my life depended on it…say it ain’t so, Joe…find a way.
I finally ate a meal, took a long, ice cold shower and at 7:22pm I called it a day.
And it is May 17th the day my Prince was born.
Happy Birthday, David. I hope it is fantastic just like you!??
