Time to celebrate.
What better way to toast another year than surrounded by family and fabulous food.
My husband was the center of attention…the lone wolf among his pack of beauties.
We congregated at Michel Vigneron’s intoxicating venture, Wolf, in West Hollywood.
The moniker is his mother’s maiden name.
We found parking in front of the attractive, intimate, welcoming space.
After settling in and ordering a lovely bottle of wine, we kicked things off with fabulous Burnt Carrots comprised of coconut, passion fruit, tarragon, macadamia and lime ($13).
Next up a Beet and Citrus salad with avocado, fennel, almond and yuzu ($14). Not only was it delicious, but the plating was beautiful.
The Hamachi Crudo was refreshing, tender and flavorful with radish, ponzu and rice cake ($18).
The birthday boy selected a luscious Mushroom Risotto with pine nuts, bulls blood (beet/micro green with bright red stems and green leaves) and beet reduction ($22).
Courtny and I surprisingly ordered chicken, but this was not your usual poultry dish.
Wolf Roast Chicken with cipollini, bagna cauda, escarole and celery root was outstanding…tender and tasty ($26). The dish was delectable and large enough for sharing.
The Crispy Potatoes with chive aioli, rosemary and horseradish are like crack…so addictive ($10).
Sweet birthday celebrations…a superb Blueberry Souffle with violet ice cream ($12) and a lovely slice of birthday goodness.
Whatever Vigneron prepares, he makes magic.
Don’t be a lone Wolf…join the pack and treat yourself to a terrific dining experience.
